| What is
the WEEE Directive?
This new EU directive
states that, as a manufacturer and retailer, we can help to increase
the volume of WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) that is
recycled in the UK by assisting in the creation and maintenance of
dedicated WEEE recycling facilities.
How are we involved?
We have joined and
contribute to a
national scheme that is helping to develop and support WEEE recycling
facilities. This means that we are helping to meet the cost of
collection, treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal of
electrical and electronic equipment. This, in turn, helps to
encourage recycling and reduces the amount of waste destined for
landfill.
How can you help?
Please dispose of all
electrical and electronic items, including light bulbs, responsibly at
a suitable recycling centre. You also have the option of returning
electrical and electronic items and light bulbs to us at the end of
their useful life and we will dispose of them safely for you.
You only need to return the electrical or electronic parts. This is a free service but you do need to bear the cost of return of
the items to us. Please ask if you need more details or contact
us if you wish to use this service.
Where can you recycle?
To ensure that you
don't contribute to damaging the environment, please use our free
disposal service as above or visit

nearest WEEE recycling facility.

Thank you for helping
us to help the environment! |
